Hey guys. I would like to get the 7 tuned. But before I do I would like to see the actual tune on the car is now. It's running a PS1000. I've downloaded the software plugged it into the car and no tune pops up. I've searched a lot about this ECU but I haven't found anything about how to load the current tune that's on the ECU now onto my laptop. Like I said first time using the Haltech. I didn't tune the car to what it's at now the previous owner did. Thanks in advance guys.
Are you having connection issues? IIRC, the ECU will boot on as low as 7.2v. Would probably be good measure to doublecheck that it is receiving sufficient power. If it's not, it won't connect. Issues like this are why I have a dedicated 12v/5v power supply and boot harness next to my main computer. The proper connectors & pins are available for free as samples from TE Connectivity upon request. Check the pinout first to find out which pins to apply power and ground in order to boot the ECU up outside of the car.
Once it has good power and ground and after plugging in the USB cable, open up ECU Manager and hit F5 to connect. It will then download the map and go through the motions to connect and display what the live readings are from each sensor. Once it has connected, open the File menu and select "Save As" to save a copy of the current map to a file. On my PS2000, the laptop will sometimes fall asleep and it won't connect as a result, but unplugging and re-plugging the cable back in corrects it.
If you're still having issues, post back with the relevant details like error codes and I'll take a closer look at it.

When I plug into the USB and connect the ECU it says the ECU is online in the bottom left hand corner of the ECU manager. But no maps pop up. I haven't tried to hit F5 yet. As I didn't want to erase the tune that's on the car now. Error codes? Would those pop up on there own? Or is there a drop down menu I'm not seeing to check these codes?

Here is the pages I'm getting when I hook up the laptop. I get a playback menu as you can see from the pictures. But no actual pages for the current tune. And this is with hiring F5. I'm assuming hitting F5 is the same as hitting the connect/disconnect button?
First pic is when I hit F5
Second pic is the loading pop up saying firmware V 1.09.2 - release.
Third pic is the playback with 10 channels.

Thanks. When I try and pull that page up it shows on the manager now. But when I click on it the manager crashes. I loaded the idle control page and that works fine. Any clue why the fuel page would make the manager crash?
