Bypassing stock fan relays FD
I have a PS1000 with patch harness.
So one of my fans will not turn off (key off the ignition and cold engine). Well found out one of my fan relays got water in it and is corroded needs replacement. It also melted the connectors I decided that I want to get rid of the stock fan relays.
My question is does the Haltech PS1000 uses all those relays (speeds)?
Im currently using DPO 2 For the Fan.

There is one output from the ECU, plus the temp switch in the water pump, and the AC switch that activates the relays. Yes, all three of them are used to power the fans at the various speeds. If you bypass it all and go to a single relay, you'll be stuck with one speed. Personally, I like having the multiple speeds and would repair the stock system. If you want to go with a single relay, you'll need something with a high amp rating. Those fans draw a huge amount of current when they first run up. Waytek has 70 amp relays that fit the bill.
