need help - fc insanely hard to start - video and map included
See attached video and map. It isn't even very cold out (~45F) and it's almost impossible to start my car. It is pretty much the same during the summer too. One it starts, it runs like a champ. I have a brand new Braille battery, new spark plugs, new wires, new starter...Can someone take a look at my map and give me some suggestions? I am thinking its something with the Haltech (E6X). Thanks

I have a mac and don't have windows on it at the moment. I was going by how mine sounded and I cranked up the priming map a ton and it fixed it. I fine tuned it from there.
Someone with Windows might be able to chime in and give a better opinion though!

I also found that moving the staging bar left (into vacuum) helped me tremendously on starting the car. It starts in 2-3 seconds when it's below 30 out, no problems! It also helped with a lean spot when transitioning into boost. I run 1600's so this is the reason. It wasn't bad before, but changing it made things 10x better.
Also, do not ignore the 0rpm map. Everyone says it doesn't factor into cranking, but the manual says it does, so I adjusted this as well.
I am very happy with things and now I can drive the car througout the winter

should be under fuel setup. your E6X is similar to my E6K. I think I sent you a screen shot of my primer map a while back right?
I am at work now so I can't do much, and my internet is down at home. If it's back tonight I'll hop online and see if I can help some more.

i went out and tried to start it again...i checked and the timing was already at 20 all the way across. i tripled the amount of fuel on the priming map and it was a little easier to start...still took ~10 seconds of cranking but better than yesterday. it was at 500ms at 55 degrees F. i cant add much more fuel, it's almost maxed out.

also, I would DROP the timing. FWIW, I run 3 degrees all across. My car starts the same when it's below freezing, or 95 degrees out and heat soaked.
Remember your 0RPMFuel map. Make it the same as your 500RPM map. The priming pulse is the initial spurt of fuel when you switch the key to on. It fires all the injectors at whatever Ms the bar is at. That's it. Like pushing the gas pedal on a carb before you crank. It's their to dump fuel into the manifolds/engine. After that once the engine is moving (cranking), it needs a fuel map for reference. How else does the engine get it's fuel when turning over slowly? Some people will argue this, but the haltech manual says it uses the 0RPM map. It makes sense. When you're cranking 250RPM you still need fuel, so it is looking at 0 and 500RPM maps for interpolation.
Base fuel map is what he's talking about. He's right, unless you have the zero throttle map enabled. Do you?
What is your cranking rpm set at? Can't remember if the E6K has an input for that...

Your injectors are bigger than mine! Something wrong...
Check the base fuel map. Not primer, not coolant, not air temp... I'm blind here though, I don't know for sure how similar the E6X is to the E6K software.
quinduple-triple-pentohexagonical-dodecahedron check your timing.
Try Bur7eq's on leading. I'm sure 9's are fine, but they could make it a tad bit harder to start when cold.
FYI, my primer map

im not sure about the timing...i could pop the cas cover off and take a pic if that helps. i have not messed with it. i am pretty hesitant about messing with the timing. the car runs fine otherwise, just wont start. i dont want to start messing with the cas and screw it up.
