cant get the dos based computer to connect talk to the halteck. we tried 3 different laptops with the sme results.. what am i doing wrong?

the car runs but we need to make some adjustments.

any help would be great!
the software floppy disk is the version e6k 3.46

 

Running XP? Then you need to run the haltech software through DOSbox.

 

windows 98 on an old serial port equipped laptop.

 

any ideas?

What does the screen say? Does it just get stuck on the connecting page or does it say you need a newer version?

What comm port settings are you using in the software? Do they correspond to the comm port you're using on the laptop?
