Exclamation My car sounds like Death Incarnete!

Well, we got it started. After working a couple of all nighters this weekend. Sunday, finally got it to fire. Had some miswired connections on the coils, but thanks to HWO and the Hitman, we got that figured out. Idle is rough below 1000, but it is rock solid at 1000. We zeroed the CAS and now it runs MUCh smoother (imagine that). I haven't been able to drive it yet... still have quite a few things left to do on it.
  • There are few oil leaks that need teflon taped... no big deal
  • need to use some silicone sealant (even thought I hate to) on the thermostat neck... small leak.
  • Have to hook up all of the brakes, filll them and bleed them
  • Need to mount and wire my Spal fan with a relay
  • Need to wire up my headlight kit and mount it
  • Need to mount the front bumper support and skin
  • Need to solder some of the wires that we rigged with wire nuts just to get it started
  • Need to fabricate an exhaust system for it, but I have ALL of the parts for that.
  • Still have to hack the T2 hood to fit on

After those things, it should be on the road. Hopefully knock at least half of that stuff out tonight, if not all of it. I'm quite anxious to drive it (Imagine that )

Right now, it only has the downpipe. This **** sounds MEAN! We took it up to 3000 rpms and it was so awesome sounding... I can't even describe it. Ive never heard a 3rotor before, we thought it might not be firing on all rotors, but we checked that out with a timing light and its fine.

If we get all of the stuff listed above done tonight, tomorrow night I'll be making the exhaust system. I suck at welding, so I'm just going to tack it all together and drop it off at a machine shop to be finished. I can make the hangers for most of the exhaust except for the Stainless Steel muffler. I'll have to take that in for mounting once the car is on the road.

Just thought I'd update you guys with what was going on. I do have pics, but they aren't pretty. As soon as I get the engine bay cleaned up, I'll be posting pics. I have video of the car's first startup. I'll get some more video of it idling and what not when i get the rest of the crap taken care of. The video camera I'm using is on of those new DVD burner Video Cameras and I can't pull the video off of it until I close the disk, but I have at least 15 minutes left on this disk. Don't want to close it out just yet cuz they cost like $10 a piece. I need to get a rewritable one for stuff like this, but they are $25... but worth it for something like this...

Right now, its just using an E6K running iginition as a V6 with no split (No, i don't like it). I will be picking up the E11 around Thanksgiving time and spend some time under the hood getting that, the new turbo and other stuff all good to go for spring.

Feel free any time to ask questions, though I am no expert, I've done all of the work on this (with some friends) myself. (Marvelspeed built the engine though, didn't want to take a chance on this one...)
