Looking for near stock S4 NA TPS based map

As stated above, most base maps I've found were MAP based and for turbo cars. I don't have a stock NA at all, its a turbo running NA, but current horsepower outputs are probably similar. Let me know if youve got anything close.

Hmm, anybody have a MAP based fuel and ignition map for an E6K? Anyone have any thoughts as to why there are no replies. Does no one run Naturally Aspirated with a Haltech?

I'd guess there aren't too many people. Even less using TPS based fuel control.

Its a known fact that MAP based maps are better than TPS ones, because they allow for more accurate tuning of the engine load, which is the main factor in power making.

EFI 101 class tought me that.

1) Most people pay a lot of money for a well sorted map. Even the most friendly guy, like me, isn't likely to share the map for free.

2)Why would you use TPS based mapping? Engine loading can't be appropriately corrected without MAP sensing or MAF sensing. Are you tuning a race engine?

Thanks for some replies. The reason why I am looking at a TPS based map is to try something different and see how this works on my car. The engine is currently running non turbo, and non turbo engines can be fairly accurately tuned by TPS, although I would agree that MAP based maps are better, specifically for turbos. I am currently running MAP based just fine, the car runs slightly rich as planned and makes good power.

I understand the argument that "I paid good money for this map, so I wont let anyone have it" but for the most part, no map is going to work perfectly for any car, so the argument that you are giving someone a perfect tune without them paying is untrue. If they want a perfect tune, theyll either have to do it or pay for it. But hey, I'm not as capitalistic as many and would be willing to share maps that work for me. Im just glad that Haltech doesnt charge money for a base map.

Alright, well I guess Ill have to go elsewhere. And in return, when I have the map tuned well, Ill even post it free of charge.

Sorry to hear that the car still isn't working. It's a beautiful car with alot of good work into it. I know you had the TPS map done by a respected tuner who knows what he's doing, but I don't understand why he went with a TPS map.

I've got a few curiosity questions if you don't mind. Had you run it on the road at all with a wideband? If so, did it run very rich all the time to make up for the lack of accurate load information? What was your mpg? Did you ever drive it into areas with large elevation changes?

Yes Steve tuned it on the road with a wideband. I wanted all the maps a little rich so I could run low-test gas and at the time I was thinking about adding some N2O. My MPG is about 18. No I never did. After Steve tuned the car it ran the best that it ever had until this spring, I was very happy with the TPS map. We also made a MAP based Map but I never used it.
