Haltech im stuck car died
im stuck car died
so i got my car running the other day it ran great as long as i staid out of the boost. I drove it to get exhaust and alignment. Total trip about 30 miles then i was at a friends house i went to leave and it ran rough. I got it running the next day kind of just enought to get it home. Now i cant get it to start i am not sure what is wrong. I have checked for spark and it there, i have fuel you can smell it. It tries to start once and a while it will but wont idel. Any ideas i am lost.
By the way it is a factory motor with less then 50000 on it. A haltech e8, custom front mount, 3 inch down pipe into duel 3 and a half pips with 2 cans on back no cats, a aem wide band and auto meter boost gauge, and a holly 255 pump with factory injectors.

i pulled the plugs 2 times they had burnt fuel on them now that i cant get it to run i pull the leading and they are a bit wet but not realy bad, at least i dont think. I can get it to ideal for about 4 seconds now and then it dies
Only thing you can change is the prime time. I usually use 5 seconds but that really won't have any bearing on running after the engine has fired.
Check the fuel pressure to see what it's doing before and after you try to start it.
Also, if it's been flooded, I always remove the plugs and crank the engine over for several seconds to purge all the excess fuel that's in the chambers. VERY IMPORTANT to disable the fuel pump and the ignition before doing this since you don't want a bunch of fuel misting out of the engine all over hot plugs! On an FC it's as easy as unplugging the CAS. Can unplug the crank trigger on the FD or simply pull the fuses out of the box for the pump and ignition. After doing that throw some NEW plugs in it and give it a go.

Well I checked and it is not flooded it starts and idles a bit. I looked at the fuel pump map and I realized I could turn it off so I did; now it idles very low like at 450 to 500. Then when you rev it up and let off it dies. I’m not sure what to do now. Any ideas?
Also i was wondering is it a good idea to run it in closed loop with a wide band and if so what should i set my parameters at?
