If I give throttle while cranking it will be more difficult to fire
Ever since I installed my E8 I have difficulty starting if I give it throttle while cranking the starter, even as much as 5% throttle. I know full throttle while cranking will disable the fuel injectors to clear a flooded engine, but I don't even have to be anywhere near full throttle.I have noticed that if I change the home value in the trigger settings from 2 where it is presently set, to 1, I am able to use the throttle to assist with starting. I am not sure of the relationship. I cannot leave the home filter at 1 because I get misfires at high rpm
How can I correct this problem?
You shouldn't need to use the throttle at all to start the engine. That's one of the benefits of a properly setup efi system. Get the prime and base maps right, and the engine will start by a simple turn of the key.

I totally agree, perhaps I need to adjust the prime map. I have not messed with it since I did the initial tune. I have been concentrating on the base map and other settings ever since.
