i need help !! is my e11 garbage now?
long story short got my haltech e11 back from a "friend" who was supposed to modify my engine harness and make sure everything plugged in.. and when i grabbed the haltech and noticed it was rattling...
and saw this...
bent fins and looks like 4 of them are broken
please tell me its not completely fucked..

There is no way that was all accidental. Seriously, that level of damage doesn't happen just by pushing the clip into the ECU. What was he doing inside the E11?

Yep.. he wasnt supposed to have my haltech but he grabbed it with my engine harness when he took it to simplify it.. he has a shop as well.. but now.. all ties are severed with this..
so now i think im going to take him to small claims court..

shouldn't even need to go to haltech though, just about any decent electronics shop should be able to repair it. hell anyone with soldering skill could repair it, the most difficult part will be getting the correct pin replacements.
on a side note that was not accidental, someone purposefully went in there with a screwdriver and bent that ****. one or 2 bent pins maybe an accident, 4 different connectors with bent pins= no accident.

the person is from a small shop here in San Antonio...i have heard a few people say similar things have happened to thier FC's , FD's ... sucks when we have people(shops) like that inside the rotary community

Why the f**k would someone do that? I've literally seen tons of pins bent from connectors being forcefully inserted the wrong way, but nothing as bad as that! Looks intentional to me.
Luckily, those breakaway headers should be easy to replace. Can't see enough of the 34-pin connector, but it looks like a maintenance-friendly board.
