how do you get A/F rather than mv E8?

i can't figure out how to get my o2 to read by A/F ratio rather than millivolts.
does ne one know how?
is there some sort of setting i can change?
does it do it automatically when the wideband is calibrated cause i can't get mine to work. i have triple checked the wires
i'm hooked up the signal to the #12 pin on the 26 pin connector
i think im gonna try a spare A/D input and see how it goes
heres the list:
E8 v1.62
haltech wideband and controller
ls1 coils
3 bar map
stock coolant temp, air temp, tps, cas
if anyone has any input, thanks in advance

i forgot to mention....
the led for the wideband stays steady
it blinks at first but goes to steady on after like 30 sec.
it doesn't mention that in the manual....

I know that if you calibrate the sensor (I used the default Haltech calibration settings) you can enter the target AFR ratings for the closed loop mode. I'm not sure how to get it to display AFR on the main screen.

Also, I think the manual DOES say that a solid LED means it's ready, and if you push your button it should turn off for 2 sec while it does free air calibration.

ok mate, dont use the dedicated 02 input for the haltech (shielded wire).

setup a spare analog input channel to "UEGO input".

then go to the calibrate sensors menu, and choose wideband UEGO sensor.

select haltech default configuration.

if you are using closed loop 02 in the fuel options page, and want to use the wideband sensor to control this, select "calibrated UEGO on 02 sensor input" as the sensor type. this will allow to to enter an AFR value rather than a mv value for a target afr.

to log it, simply choose the uego sensor analog input channel the wideband is on, and it will log the AFR.

if you want to see it as a gauge on the screen for tuning, go online with halwin, go down to UEGO sensor in the gauge menu, and a digital readout of afr will appear in a window. make sure the input you use has the "enabled" box ticked, or this will not appear.

Question, doesnt calibrating the UEGO sensor with the AFR to Voltage ratio enough to get it to work? if you go to the calibrate sensors/UEGO window, on the right side you have voltage, and on the left you have AFR for each voltage. Or is it simply that the Haltech logging through the O2 input only shows mV and not AFR?

I just got an E8 to play with, so ill look into this and post the results.

im not sure why, but using the haltech 02 sensor input will not work for the calibrated AFR. for some reason (i suppose so you can use a narrowband sensor in the default place, without screwing around with wires changing it over, and only use the wideband for temporary installations, in an analog input channel).

you need to use the calibrated WB in an analog input channel.
all it does it makes it easier for the user, the ecu still thinks about a voltage, but converts it to an afr value for the human to understand.

so when you use it in closed loop 02 correction, and put in 15 AFR (example), the ecu just goes to the calibration table, and sees you want 2.5 volts at the sensor input, and adjusts fuel accordingly. if its between calibrated values, it just interpolates the voltage linearly.

the volts --> AFR thing is purely for human consumption.

at this stage, the only way to get a calibrated AFR value to work on screen, logged, or used for closed loop 02 is to use an analog input channel set to UEGO input.

bump

that didn't work.
i hooked it up to spare a/d and changed the setting to uego and ticked the box and had the " calibrated uego setting" in the fuel page and default haltech settings.
still mv!!!
does anyone have any other ideas or experiences with this?
