after removing all the extra junk from the TB you will see an area on the TB that faces the radiator where a simple bracket in the shape of a squared off S can be mounted(threaded holes left empty from part removal). file a flat spot on TB shaft, drill a few small holes and it is done. easily made out of aluminum.

What about that metal piece going to the Oil pressure regulator on the TB? you know that metal shaft that goes down by the bottom of the front housing. Get rid of that?

remove it if you are not using the OMP.

I believe that the TPS is a GM unit. My mechanic went to the junk yard and pulled a bracket off an old pickup truck which works fine.
Good Luck!

The "Oil pressure regulator" you are refering to is actually the Oil Metering Pump. The amount of oil injected is controlled by the linkage which runs from it (the omp) to the throttle body. If you remove that rod, then you are rendering the OMP useless and will have to run premix. Your call.

Ok well is there any other way to go around that without removing that linkage? I mean i would like to keep it. But if i have to run premix i have to run premix.

-It might be a good idea to run premix anyway, I mean with the setup that i am looking at it might be a good idea to run premix. hmmmm

ok well i'll go and try my hand with it

Hah, the stock TPS unit? Ive been through 3 of them. It could be done, but considering how often they go out I personally wouldnt use one.

the description of how this small simple bracket is made takes longer to type than the construction of the bracket. two 90* bends and five holes need to be drilled in some thin sheet aluminum or steel then a little filing of the the throttle shaft. if you want the oil metering pump a few more minutes to figure a way to connect the rod back to the throttle(not recomended for serious racing). all of this should not have taken this long to accomplish.

NO you were right tims, after i got off my lazy *** it took me about 2 hours. (most of it spent trying to find a brack that would work) But any way it was easy. One question....
By not using the OMP, does that disable the complete oiling system, or just part of it, if so which part? I mean if i run premix will i have to have oil still in there?

The OMP only pulls oil from the pan to lubricate the seals in the combustion chamber. By pre-mixing you still getting the oil in there, just through a different route i.e fuel injectors.

What do you think is going to happen to your eshaft and your turbo if you run no oil? Both of them require oil for lubrication, and both get it from the pan.

I am not sure how the metering pump works when the actuating shaft is diabled. probably lets a small amount of oil into the injectors. I always remove the whole thing from the engine. stock setup does exactly what Tony stated; takes oil from the engine oil system and injects it into the combustion chamber to lube the internal seals. premixing does the same thing adds oil to the combustion chamber to lube seals, it is just carried into the combustion chamber by the fuel system. for my race car removing the OMP just simplyfies the engine and removes one potential problem(a broken plastic oil line). if this is a street car you will just have to be diligent and make sure you have oil to mix at every fill up. 100 to 1 ratio is fine and easy to calculate.
