Help Please ECU MOD

I have a 1993 rx7 that has had an engine fire. In the fire the main wiring harness that connects to the ecu was badly buried along with the emission contol parts.

I have heard that I can rum a haltec ecu and harness to the engine. THis will eliminate the need for the emission controls, which I do not want to have to run or buy.

And also what system would be the best. I am looking in to adding a single turbo conversion in the future. So I want something that will be able to work with the twin turbos that I have now and then beable to handle a t 78 or gt 35/40 with a steet ported engine. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Edan

what type of smog laws do you have in your area? the Haltech can do all of those things and more with proper tuning, but it is not smog legal in most states. if you are not required to pass any type of smog check or inspection this would be a good replacement for the burned wiring harness. there will still probably be alot of wiring not connected to the engine management that will also need to be fixed depending on how bad the fire was. if this is not a street car then I would recomend the Haltech even without the fire damage.

Thanks for the responce

I live in Illinois and I believe I can pass emissions without the emission controls. The fire was not that bad. It just burned the area aroung the injectors. Basically all it got was the emission controls and some of the plastic components on the throttle body. So in stead of replaceing the emissions I rather go without them and upgrade the ecu.
