Has anyone had problems with haltech cust. service?

Im just wondering, because I sent my E6K with trigger circuit problems to Haltech on the 14th of last month. I have repeatedly emailed them since the 19th of last month. The only responses I have gotten from them was on the 20th or so, and they told me that they received the computer, but couldnt test it because they had loaned out their crank angle sensor that they use for testing the ecu's. I mean, I had no idea Australia has a shortage of FC CAS's. Had I known that, I would have sent one with it. I have like five of them. Then on the 24th, I got an email saying they tested it and an obscure part of the trigger circuit was damaged. I have sent them 2 emails since then and haven't heard anything back from them since. Im just wondering if this is normal Haltech customer service? Thanks

Your original post mentioned a date length of 5 days.
If we stick to your original date of the 19th, it's been about 2 weeks.
To me, that isn't that long when it comes to online "transactions".
It IS holiday season.
Or it could be some kinda mail server glitch - it has happened with Haltech AUS before.
I would say be patient and keep sending emails for a response.
When it starts to get closer to the end of this year, I would worry.

Doh, now that changes everything!
I would be persistent and keep sending them emails anyways.
I think the holidays slow everything down in the world.

yup mine cost me 300 all said and done I had the same problem as you guy's 12v comming back from the signal. They tell me that it was my fault but After seing about four of the exact cases now I think it is a flaw. But they deny it and just keep on charging the few unlucky people to have a bumed ems.

Sounds like some bad timing, i received great responces from matt during my install. It would be nice though if they had a couple more locations.

thats EXACTLY what it is. Apparantly some E6K's just dont like FC CAS's. Haltech refuses to acknowledge this so that they dont have to pay for the repair of the returned units. I feel its very irresponsible of them. I hate to say it but I think this is the last Haltech ECU I mess with. Reason being, if this is a crap shoot if it will work on an FC or not, repair takes over a month, poor customer service and all that. I just can't risk it again. This whole thing was on a customer's car. I kept telling him that I wasn't getting any responses from them even after I repeatedly sent them emails. I won't risk my reputation like that again.

I like haltech, they had good customer service for me until just l8ly.
I simply think they should acknolege that there is a problem involved with the CAS on FC's and as such you think they would notice the amount of these they are getting in. (at least I would think)

Know the people at Haltech

Hi!
I know the guys there are slack, but my husband sends the stuff from Haltech in Australia. He may not be a tech, but he can get the answers. From what I have seen there, Rob is the only one who will give it to you straight. Sometimes if you call he will have to call you back, but HE WILL. I have been there just to hang out and help my husband, and have had to shove a message in front of scott so he would call someone back, then sometimes he forgets! Rob sticks with it untill he gets you an answer. If you want write him at rob@haltech.com.au
Hope this helps!
