Haltech elite with stock FC coils.

I've been having a tough time finding an explanation for how to wire stock FC coils to a Haltech elite 750. Could anybody tell me what color wire on the coils go to which ignition output?

Not sure if the wiring is the same but you should be able to cross reference maybe?

The Elite ECUs do not support the toggle function of the FC trailing coil. So these ECUs cannot be wired as the older ECUs were. To make an Elite work with the FC trailing coil, you’ll need to add a 2nd ignitor and bypass the toggle function and set the ECU for wastespark operation. The, maybe, easier way to do it is pick up a pair of smart coils and use those instead. The leading coil is wired just as it was with the older ECUs.

That's for an FD with individual igniters in the stock igniter box for both trailings. As was mentioned if you want to run trailing ignition on FC coils you need to add a second igniter to the entire assembly. Haltech doesn't support the flip/flop action of the stock igniter toggle anymore (nor should they really).

Would Camaro LS coils (early 2000s) work? I remember reading that ls coils couldn't keep up with the firing speed.

Are those D585s? Sure, 4 would work but if I recall correctly they fire when they reach their dwell threshold, which I'm not a huge fan of. Id rather a coil eat itself than discharge (even if its my fault). If youre going to take the time to convert to new coils and wire up different connectors just spend the $71 each and use IGN-1As, or if you want boner points adapt GTR coil on plugs.

Well I've already got the LS coils... Do you think a FC with a stock turbo and street port push the dwell threshold? I've never seen a coil on plug conversion for rotarys but it sounds interesting.

They'll be fine, I just don't like them.
