Haltech E6K Cable

Hey guys, I have searched and cannot seem to find a solid answer on what cable to use to connect my E6K to my Windows 98 running laptop.
I have a map ready to go to try and start the car, and a cable that connects to the serial port coming out of the haltech but it has the exact same end on the other side, and my computer has no such port (9 pin serial), but it does have a 15 pin connector. Are there adaptors I can buy for this? if not, where could I buy a cable to make it work?
Thanks for the help, I am really close to starting this car so any help is appreciated.
Renzo

You need a USB-serial adapter. Tripp Lite is the brand name you will want to look for.
