First time starting with the haltech
Hey guys I just picked up an E6X
I've been trying to get the bloody thing to start Im using one of Claudio's base maps
I've got A S5 t2 motor stock turbo, injectors, ports, 550s all around
Ive pulled the cas out and spun it by hand I can hear the injectors click and checked for spark and its there
I zeroed the timing By locking it to -5 and while the motor is cranking i had a timing light on it So i know im in the right area
i've got fuel pressure and voltage at the pump
now my only question is this... will not having the CLT and AIT sensor stop it from running?
the motor is a fresh rebuild with lots of compression
Any pointers?

The coolant temp, and Air intake temp sensors are whats screwing you up, without the coolant sensor it will read -40degrees, and will screw up coolant correction, same goes with AIT.
What does the Data page on the Haltech say? No sensor means it's not receiving any data, and I'm fairly sure it defaults to -40c for both intake air, and coolant.

ya it shows -40 but when you are looking at the actual Coolant corrections page the graph is no different all the way across
What I want to know is if the Primer map still works without the sensors because im only getting 7-8ms of fuel when cranking and from my understanding thats not enough

If it reads -40 it's correcting to full rich, you are over fuelling.
5.3.4.4 Primer Map
The primer map is accessed through the menu structure and can be found under “Fuel
Correction Maps” in the maps menu.
The primer map is used to add a quantity of fuel based on coolant temperature when the first
trigger is detected by the ECU. The map has 32 bars distributed across coolant temperature in
the range –40°C to 127°C and each bar represents a set quantity of fuel injected prior to and
independent of any other injection event
