FC3S PS1K Fuel Pump Relay Connection

Sorry to bother, but I am not great at wiring diagrams and just want to make sure I'm about to start playing with the right sparks. I've looked at the FSM and I think that I need to run the Haltech orange/blue fuel pump signal wire to the connection currently filled by the blue/red wire so that the Haltech signal will simulate the AFM flapper telling the fuel pump to turn on. Car is an '87 TII.

Is this correct?

IMO, the right way to do it is to run the haltech wire all the way to the pump itself.
