e8 connection issues. Experts please help
E8 rx7 FD
The connection issues came out of no where. It worked fine then stopped.
I originally had the work around to use it on my
windows 7 laptop. When it stopped working I tried back to my older
laptops running windows XP. No luck with 2 computers that previously
worked. I then found an older laptop with a serial port to not use the
usb-serial adapter. That computer also could not connect.
Ive tried all the different baud settings both with the computer with
the serial port and the usb-serial adapter laptops (yes had the coms correct. even tried changing the plug/coms). I also OHMed the 5
wires from the serial to the ecu and all checked out ok. Ive also
taken out all the middle connections and even had the ecu plugged
directly to the laptop no extension plug or usb adapter.
Can anyone suggest on a next step before sending it to haltech for
repairs? Im a little hesitant on sending it over
since it seems like a long down time.
