E6X Harness Trigger Input Gnd

I'm putting an E6X in an FC and was wondering if the ground in the Trigger input wiring is grounded at the connector does it need to be connected elsewhere. The harness I'm installing was used and so some of the as new wiring has been cut and wanted to be sure.

Only the four signal wires are used. The power wire and its ground are just tied back in the harness.

Two of the 4 "trigger" wires are grounds on the E6X harness. The red and blue wires are grounded through the ECU. Should not be a need to install another ground. The shielding of that cable is also grounded through the ECU and again should not need any additional grounding. It's easy enough to check the continuity of each to ground once the harness ground lug is installed.

To clarify the shielding isn't actually grounded through the box. I mis-spoke. It's grounded to the ground lug of the harness. Again, easy enough to check continuity.
