tried to update to 7.17 and got some error messages,now all i get is the message ECU COMMUNICATIONS ERROR when trying to run fu2.is there any hope of fixing this myself of will i have to send it back to australia.

 

The 7.17 firmware update is not an officially supported update but Haltech doesn't seem to mind sending it out anyway. Well, make sure your ignition is disconnected and make sure all the files needed for the update are located in the same directory. The 7.17 update has several additional map adjustments such as Fuel Pressure compensation, Fuel Temp Compensation, and a few others. These maps come fully loaded to the max when you do this update. Make sure you bring all the values back down to 0 before starting the car.

On some ECU's you may need to send it to Haltech for the update, I would call Haltech and consult them.
