e11v2 on my 20b

for anyone who might remember anything i've said before, i know i said i was deciding between the microtech LTX12S and the AEM EMS, but i went ahead and bought the haltech e11v2 because i got a good deal on the complete flying lead kit and because i know a few people that are familiar with it.

anyway, just wondering if anyone has a base map that they'd be willing to send me for the e11v2 for my 20b. i'm running stock ports and turbos with 1680cc injectors all around. any help is always appreciated

please send to rhyno1@gmail.com

thanks again guys

Are you going to run alcohol? because 1600 as primaries are WAY TOO BIG, they are hard to get to idle, its not impossible, but i believe its overkill.

I would just leave the stock 550cc, paired with 1600 as secondaries you have enough fuel there to get over 600hp from that motor easy.

the reason i went with 1680s all around is because the haltech allows you to control the duty cycle and pulse width on each injector.
effectively, i can run the 1680s at any flow rate below what they are rated for.

someone please correct me if i'm wrong

additionally, they were 79$ each for bosch injectors, so i just got 6.

Yes, you are right, it allows you to adjust them individually, but, there is a point where the mS (milliseconds) are so low the injector doesnt open correctly for good attomization. If you where runing alcohol the issue wouldnt be so apparent.

What you need to realize is that 1680 minimum open-time will still have so much fuel that you will be having an extremely difficult time trying to get the car to idle or do anything much below 2K. 1000's or 850's are really the biggest you can run in the primaries with a reasonable min. on-time.

Keep the extra 1680's as spares for the secondaries if/when you need to clean them or one fails, you will then have an immediate replacement. Trust me, on 20B's you will need to have a backup plan in case something happens.

I have heard of many people running 1600cc primaries. The car will try to idle at about 0.50% duty cycle, which is too low for good fuel atomisation. On gas it will be rich, on alcohol it will be fine. Most of them use Microtech though.
If you want to have a streetable car, run 850cc and 1680cc.

thanks for the input. based on what you're saying, i'll most likely send the stock secondaries out to RC to have them cleaned and flowbenched and use them as my primaries.

What you can do that is best is probably have your stock primaries cleaned and balanced and just use what ever secondaries you can get, 1600cc will be fine, no need for complications. Besides RC is a tad on the expensive side. Oh, and make sure you use the same impedance on all injectors.

Im thinking they are high, but dont quote me, since they are the same as the FC's turbo injectors.

And if memory serves 1600cc bosch/ford are 8ohms (low imp.).
