I had asked this question about 4-5 months ago, and got no answer, good to hear I am not the only one with this issue, It would be nice to be able to enable closed loop O2 and gain some Mileage out of the car. If you figured anything out let me know.

I would assume that only sending to haltech would work, and probably would need some kind of proof of purchase for theft quality.

To get around the password you hit cancel when prompted to enter it. At that point you need to load the default map onto the ECU. Once you do that you can reload the map you had in the ECU and be ready to go. The problem arises when you do not have the map backed up to a file and have nothing to reload once you load the default map to get around the need for a password. Sending it to Haltech will not help.

Yes that is exactly it, my dos laptop doesn't have a diskette drive, so I am SOL, I guess the best way is to get my tuner to send me an email with my map.

Thanks for the heads up Chris.
