benefits of sequential fire ign?
i just got an E8 and i can get ahold of 4 ls1 coils for pretty cheap, so i was wondering what the benefits are to spending my time/money getting these coils and wiring this e8 up with a sequential/direct fire ignition setup. this would be as opposed to the stock FD coils with the external ignitor/wastespark setup.
i'm basically just asking for the benefits of using a sequential fire ignition setup over the standard 2-rotor wastespark. I am planning on upgrading the fuel and running E85 this summer (basically just to mess with the stuff, no big boost or anything) but i'll still be on my stock twins under 350whp.

Theoretical benefit would be plugs that last longer and less duty cycle for greater possible dwell times and less stress on the coils.
I think there would be no practical, measurable benefit, other than possibly longer lasting plugs.
The wasted spark may well help keep the plugs cleaner.
