backfires before cranked, soon as car "on"

sit down, turn key to "on", POP like a minibackfire, this is before enguaging the starter

doesnt happen often, but certainly seems wrong. i didnt manage to catch it on the datalogger to see what it had to say. soon as i turn the key one click an the electrics come on i get a good whap underneath the car. any thoughts on whats causin this fun lil anomoly?

on my car when i turn key on spark goes of once from the coils. maybe u still have some fuel vapor in chamber causing it to pop.

any idea why, seems odd that it would "prespark"

i can come up with reasons why it might an i could bore us all by typin em out but ill stick with all that matters

I would guess it's running rich as you will need to have unburned vapor left in the chamber to get an ignition event when you turn the key on. Other than possibly being annoying though it's nothing to be worried about.
