Just installed mine and am trying to determine whether my lean idle readings are real or air pump interference. Just read about people having issues with that....

I was wondering about this wideband also I saw it the rx7store.net site.

For those of us not running standalones can a voltmeter be hooked up to this to read af ratio while driving?

Sorry if this question is dumb I'm not familar with wideband setups.

edomund, the LM-1 has a configurable output that you can setup to output 1v at 10:1, 1.47v at 14.7:1, etc so that the voltage will be AF / 10, so yes you can hook up the LM-1 to a volt meter.

Thats cool becuase I already have a voltmeter digital af gauge 2 1/16 hooked up to my ecu using the narrow band right now.

Once I get the lm-1 I can hook that up to it and have it on the dash since the lm1 is so big.

no way a voltmeter is gonna react fast enough to tune with though.

Or you can use the display that comes with the LM-1.

yeah, the unit itself has digital readout and comes with 10' sensor and power cables. although O2 sensor for the lm1 are more expensive than your avg sensor to replace. another budget decision for those of us with limited funding.

$30 is too much to spend to replace a wide band sensor??

Ya thats pretty cheap really... I too am contemplating an LM1. With a Weber I beleive you could bring it to the sweet spot rather easily....considering its only a matter of a few changing points with such a carb. I am also thinking of going blow-through and the LM1 will do alot for me there. Any downsides to this wonderful tool that isn't really that expensive?

I haven't found many.

The power cord, they could have used a better way to connect the cord to the unit. It isn't a positive lock, more like a slip fit.

The "overheating issue", I think this only happens when you place the sensor right behind the turbo. I have mine in my midpipe (~4' away from the turbo) and I've never seen a error.

Other than those two relatively small issues it's awsome. I woulden't sell my used one for the price of a new one!
