Adapting Haltech TPS to Cosmo Intake?

Ok I stared at this thing quite a well lastnite, and I dont see a real easy way to do this. Anyone got any suggestions that have done this before? I can supply pictures of it, but I assume its not much different from say a FD?

Looks like the stock TPS is better as far as construction? Anyone have a diagram for the stock TPS to hook to a e6k ?

What TPS came with your system? Dont you want to use the D shaft sensor? Ive heard its a better unit. I dont think the wireup would be that hard, all that your doing is injectors, TPS, air and water temp sensors right?

Everything else is done except for the TPS, i really need to snap a picture, its easier that way, but the battery is dead im charging it now..

Looks could be deceiving but the Haltech TPS looks cheap ... iincomparision to the stock TPS.. Ill try to get some pictures up, I was just hoping someone else had done what Im doing and say ah yeah I know exactly what you mean

the cosmo tps has the same pin outs and wire colors as an fd so if you have the connector you might as well use it.

Its a GM sensor isnt it? I mean, the advantage would be, if it ever kicked the bucket, then you could find one locally, and cheap. Where as a FD sensor is a different story. What are this pictures of? I dont recognize any of that. Maybe im assuming that the FD TPS was similar to the FC one. If thats uncorrect, then I cant really help you decide, beside what I stated above, since I dont know how the FD TPS works.

The first picture, shows it off..

The 2nd picture shows the 'cosmo' throttle body with its factory one off, and the Haltech next to it.

This is a cosmo not a FD, but i m assuming they are similar. Of course the cosmo has weird *** injector plugs so probally not the same on the TPS

I figured from what J9FD3S said that they were close mechanically. Hm, off to search the 3rd gen section.

If the haltech supplied one was crap do you honestly think haltech would supply it?

I've never had a look at a 13BRE TB but here's my suggestion

Looks to me like there is a double flat side under that nut where the two fingerd pick up for the stock TPS is, take that nut off, undo the two screws that hold that cast alloy bracket to the side of the TB then slide the Haltech TPS onto the end of the shaft with the double flats on it and make a little bracket up outta a piece of scrap 2mm aluminium to hold it in place using the two screws (in their original location) that hold that cast alloy piece on

Just use the stock sensor. It works fine, and I use the stock Cosmo sensor on my 3-rotor. I did make a plate to adapt the Haltech sensor at one point but this was only because I could not get a connector for the OEM TPS at the time.

Email me privately. I have the wiring info for the Comso sensor somewhere.

NO NO NO LOL Thats not what I meant, i know Haltech stuff is top quality. But if the stock Tps works just as good then why the hell not? Isnt that why I bought a Haltech to start with ?
