If you download (or have) your E6K manual, look for the O2 sensor connections, there is a nice detailled graph showing you the different ways to connect a narrow band O2 sensor.

A little but not completly.. The 4 wire o2 plug I have is labeled 1,2,3,4. I will cut the plug off and solder in the wires. The problem is how do i know what each wire is on the 4 wire o2. I just want to make sure i get this right.. Everything else is pretty much done on the install..

just use a single wire.

the benefit of a heated o2 sensor is it warms up very quickly, so the car can go into closed loop mode quickly.

but oh yea, you can't run that lean at idle, so a 4-wire is useless over a single wire. $18 from autobone will solve your problems

The 4 wires on the sensors are usually 2 black (or 2 white) a grey and a brown (or a blue or violet), the 2 wires with the same colors are always the heaters, and you have to find out which is the ground and wich is the signal wire.

Then just follow the diagram.

I prefer to use the 3 and 4 wire sensors because they start working a lot faster than the single wire.

Its likely that the grey wire is the signal, so the black (or darkblue) is the gnd. Connect 1 heater with that ground to the Haltech gnd pin, the grey to signal, and the other white to the 12v pin.

actually, i bet the autobone doods probably wouldn't mind you jotting down the directions so you don't even have to buy it.
