5 months since last update...

 

Appreciate everyone's patience, we're trying to make as many people as happy as possible. This means making this whole setup work with as many seats as possible. Some people are interested in low mount versions with or without tilt. Others want to use a different seat, we're working to incorporate as many options as possible.

It's taking a bit longer than expected at this point and we also have quite a backlog of other products being released. Such as our Forged Wheels, Monster AP kit and a more affordable AP track day BBK and of course our custom long stroke FPSpec Ohlins Suspension.

 

Thanks for the update. Good luck with your other new products. But do they have at least 77 guaranteed sales?

 

Why do they have to have 77 guaranteed sales?

 

This is an interest list, we do not expect everyone on the list to come through. We've been doing GB's for a long time, and appreciate the enthusiasm from the community, but until we start collecting money nothing is a Guarantee. Historically you'll get 40% - 60% of customers that put their name on an interest list on RX7Club that actually come through, and that percentage drops as the price of the item(s) increase.

We absolutely care about the entirety of the FD community, and it's specifically what keeps us developing new parts... the love for the car and this special community that we are so fortunate to be a part of! The FD community is like no other we've seen, and we thank you guys for supporting us and the platform. Like all good things, quality parts take time... as everyone knows here, we are not the fastest but we do our best to check all the boxes before releasing a product.

How will this be compared to stock when it comes to seating position (heigth)?
I'm around 6'3 and guessing between 34-36 waist. My main problem is that I touch the roof in my car now and get exhausted on longer drives due to the fact I have to slouch to sit "properly".

Any input on this in a favorable manner will gouge my interest..

Just catching up on this thread. Does the group buy include both the recaro pole positions and the custom rails, or are we only talking about the rails? I'm interested in both.

 

Absolutely! And we are petitioning Recaro for Red seat covers as well, which has been an uphill battle for sure. But that's our current goal along with finishing the testing on the seat brackets, tilt mechanism, and sliders
