Just a little update: I've been doing some test while I'm staying in Malaysia, I've left some prototypes out for my whole trip in direct sunlight and heat and there are no signs of heat distortion! So a little more testing on its durability if it check out well begin production, if not we'll refine them.

 

Hope they come out fine and soon. .. been 9 years without one

So a little update:

Our heat test checked out well, after a month outside in the hot sun in Malaysia there were no signs of any heat distortion.

We are tweaking the prototype just a little bit more then I'll be making the molds for the 93-no texture version (94/95- texture version will come shortly after if all pans out well)

 

I want one too!

Sorry, at this time we dont plan on a RHD version. we'd need 10+ to warrant making the RHD version.

Mini update, mold finished but i goofed it a bit. so there is some "spillage" in the casting. doesnt effect anything but the underside appearance as you can see in this piece


the most visible seam is on the bottom... I hate it. I'm in the process of redoing it. I re-refinished the plug today and will be starting another mold tonight

For those interested in the 94 textured version PLEASE speak up. If we dont have enough interest for the textured finish we may only produce the non textured version so spread the word!

This is great, glad someone took the initiative to make this! I think I'm one of the few that still has a good pocket lid. But if it brakes / when it brakes I'll know where to look!

Thanks for your interest, but as for all our products, we dont like to "pre-sale" without having one 100% how it will be sold. We want to ensure the customer knows 100% what they are paying for when they shop with us


As for a mini update: The side effects of being super ****. After 3 molds and countless castings later, I have decide to redo the mold/tweak the part yet again. Due to the lack of being terrible at bodywork/paint/prep the final part shows too many imperfections for my liking (hairline scratches). Thus I'm going to redo the finish so there is less work for the customer to finish it. In a nut shell i forgot to buff the part In addition i just noticed a TINY bow in the lid that's driving me crazy so ill be correcting that as well. Thank you all for your interest and bare with me as I will not sell a part unless its to the best of our abilities!



And yes I know I'm not great at marketing by marketing our flaws but it makes us an honest company and our reputation is more important then money. But buy our stuff!

PS For the parties interested in the 94 TEXTURED VERSION, please speak up! If there is not enough interest for the texture version we will not develop it! (93 non textured need not reply, its already being made!)
