OEM glass sunroof cover reproduction

For all of you that have a glass sunroof I have a rare piece that has long ago been discontinued from Mazda. I've been thinking about reproducing it, possibly strengthening it in some areas, but the hard part would be finding a replacement locking mechanism.

Regardless, If this is a piece that you will be interested in please put your interest below and I'll start research on developing this product

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

Are you talking about the interior slide cover for the glass roof? If so, I am interested, as my car does not currently have one.

Its actually attaches underneath the Sunroof and doesn't slide. I'll try to take some pics to post

Please post up some pics. There are a lot of touring FD's out these that would benefit. In for black.

I'm definitely in! There is an FD owner that lives in the Denver area that has a company that makes plastic pieces. He's made plastic doors and other things for his FD race car. I'm sure he could reproduce it if you're looking for that also.

I can help you guys make the mold of this piece. The mold fee might be a little bit high but if we have 10 buyers I think it will be enough to get the mold fee back. My email info@carbonrx7.com.

Marc.

I ended up buying one of these about 5 years ago. I forgot I had even commented on this thread, and I forgot these existed when I bought mine lol.

I didn't think I would use it much, but I installed it back then and haven't ever removed it. I love it.

Reviving a long dead thread. Code Red Performance is now producing replacement for these: https://coderedperformance.com/produ...-sunroof-cover

I have purchased one and it seems like a quality piece. Will update after some use
