i envy ur 20b. could i ask for a couple of favors? what i need to know is the diameter of the light units, and a couple of pictures (overhead so i can see how far out the lights come, and one at night, from the side of the car with the low beam on showing where the light hits the ground in front of the car).

if you could do that for me i would be very appreciative.

I have subscribed to this thread. I wish you the best of luck on this. I love the look of the EVO-R kit but like most people i hate the lighting, i was just thinking of keeping the flip up lights and doing something different but if you can make a kit that looks good and functions well then i would be all for it.

thanks for your support. i am very excited for this, one because i love designing it, its like problem solving (sorry im a nerd), and two because of all the help i have received its like its made for us, by us.

new price update: kits will be $100 more for those with a v8 swap, this is simply a disciplinary measure.

just kidding

is this a FS thread? I don't get it, why are you bumping the thread with no update?

I'd like to see something more than a drawing...

Any works in progress for a mock-up?

Any composite studies?

Any progress, other than talk?

A good quality sleek is a huge project, I'd really like to see a private party show the manufacturers how it's done.

I can assure you he is working on it and is past the drawing stage. Having done my own conversion I know these things take time and unfortunately don't occur overnight.

much appreciated david. i have a 1:2 scale model as well. i am leery of releasing anything until i am to a point where i will be able to move very quickly. i may be paranoid but i dont want to take any chances in someone or a company ripping it off, i have put a lot of time and work into this project.

and the reason i was bumping it was that i would like as much input as possible to plug ideas as i go.

also how do you guys feel about LEDs starting under the low beam projector and sweeping up the outside curve of the head light. i will have a new 1:2 scale model soon.

I'm not sure about LEDs. I have seen a lot of problems where they burn out and such. And on some cars they can look extremely tacky. I think I would have to see them before I made a decision about them.

heres what im feeling, i can keep the projector units i bit closer to each other, and fill void on the out side edge with the LEDs. that way it doesnt look empty.

Please make sure you keep this as a 'project' thread, as soon as you start talking about pricing and offering product it'll get locked quickly---- not fair to our paying vendors. If you're interested in becoming a vendor there is a sticky at the top of the classifieds section. Thanks

I am interested. I need something..I don't even have stock lights and I wish I did...that's how bad my lights are. RX7Boutique working on sourcing me some knightsport lights (in back of a line of a whole host of people) so anything sooner would be better.

i hope to have a finished prototype in like 3 months. i think i am very close to a final design, i am bouncing ideas off of some other members and have made a lot of progress.
