I would be interested in the brackets! That's the hard part of any BBK setup, the rotors and calipers are the "easy" (but pricey) part.

Thanks!

Do the superlite 4 and 6 mount with the same bracket? Be cool to have the option.

This is a pretty cool idea, and I was comparing to a couple other brake options. How would this compare the SakeBomb Garage Wilwood 'track-day' kit for a little more? The calipers seem similar, so I'd like to compare the two. Obviously a solid cast straight vane style rotor and (I would thikn much heavier?), but also how does the wheel clearance compare since the hat looks like pretty low offset?

I was doing some research on the Supra disc and the center bore of this rotor is too small for the FD hub, so it looks like I'd have to get a machine shop to machine a disc every time I need to change rotors. That might the nail in the coffin for me, but I'm still debating and looking for some input.

Anyone know the weight of the Sake kit? https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-pr...41250-1111319/

I'm just trippin' a little because the top pic's disc doesn't look vented and the bottom one is. My front brakes are definitely vented. Maybe it's just the angle of the pic or something, but that looks like a rear disc to me. No big deal and if I'm correct it would make your set up MORE comparable, weight-wise with stock. I dunno. Sorry if I'm adding confusion, it just kind of caught my eye.

Interested!

Ok guys, big update here.

Changed form the Supra TT rotors to 2016 Mazda CX-9. No machine work required! 320mm in diameter. Bracket is finalized and they are being machined right now. They will be made from T6 6061 billet aluminum and anodized black for corrosion resistance.

Brackets will be $210 shipped. Only having 10 sets made.
Kit requires:
Wilwood caliper 120-11135

I know you posted on the FB V8 group and got a far bit of interest for only having 10 sets of brackets. I'll send money as soon as you've got product in-hand.

Thanks guys. Due to the overwhelming amount of interest. I'm not limiting this to 10 sets anymore. I'd like to make as many sets as needed to serve the community with a high quality budget big brake kit.

This just in:

Stopped by my local hose supply shop (Ameriflex in Tulsa) today and they will be making DOT approved brake lines by Brake Quip for this kit. Lines will be black and can be included for an additional $50.

I've also updated the album with pictures of the brake lines (if you want to make your own) and comparison pictures vs the stock brake setup.

I was looking at the Wilwood Superlite options and part numbers. It looks like the SBG kit uses either one of the following:

PN #120-11133 - 1.25" rotor, 1.62" piston size (41mm)
PN #120-11130 - 1.25" rotor, 1.38" piston size (35mm)

For the PN's Tres has listed, they're all 1.75" piston sizes. Supra rotors matched the same thickess as the SBG kit, the latest one using the CX-9 rotors are for a 1.1" thick disc.

Tres - will the bracket you're creating give us an option to run either the CX-9 rotors, or the modified Supra ones that you originally used?

No, the brackets I'm creating can only be used for the CX-9 rotors due to the differences in rotor width and rotor diameter vs the Supra.

I got a bit more info for the sakebomb garage kit. It weights ~ 21 lb 5 oz without pads, so just around the weight of the stock caliper + rotor.

This might be a dumb question, but would SS lines fabbed for stock calipers also fit the Wilwoods?

No the SS lines for the stock calipers will not fit.

Small update:

Lines are being made by and will be finished tomorrow or early next week. Brackets are being made and will be finished in 3-4 weeks or earlier.
