Update:
The LHD mirror bases should be ready soon but I will not be selling them until June. I have finals coming up and haven't got time to do the finishing touches required.
Once everything is ready, I'll be selling 3-4 pairs of the real Ganador mirrors that I have with the LHD Bases so I could get a feedback on them. I'll also include the RHD bases with the first few pairs. (Please note the first few pairs of the real ganadors will not be cheap)
I'll also be selling the mirror bases separately for those who already have the real ganador mirrors on lhd rx7's with viewing problems. My mirror bases will hopefully fix the issue

Guys sorry for lack of updates. I have been busy but one thing is for sure these are coming soon

Once the bases are ready I’ll be selling some test samples so I can get feedback on them if they fixed the viewing angle for LHD RX7s.
Second phase I’ll be selling 4-5 pairs of original ganadors which will come with both LHD and RHD bases. These won’t be cheap since I had a hard time sourcing them and paying shipping duties etc.
Once those are sold out I’ll have funds to get the outer piece 3D Scanned. This is a one time cost but very expensive here and I don’t have the funds for scanning at the moment. The outer piece I have decided to make in ABS Plastic rather than fiberglass.
I’ll be only selling manual mirrors at first until I can find the right size motor that can fit in the housing and work with rx7 wiring.

The bases will be available to purchase separately for people who have ganador mirrors.

Reselling individual items is not an issue, though I'd ask you make a FS ad and not muddy up your product dev thread. Glad you intend on getting vendor status or GB going for the actual product. If you're running a steady business, that's the way to go.

FYI, For someone making tiny low dollar parts like stickers or screw caps, we'd probably let them slide. If you're competing with a real vendor or running multiple "large" products and profit, then you'll be under much more pressure to secure vendor status.

 

 

Greetings. I have fitted an original RHD pair on my left hand drive S5 and it looks awesome but as mentioned earlier the view from the drivers side is not that good. Can I buy just the bases for LHD and solve the problem? Are they available yet?

 

Yes! The LHD bases will be available to purchase separately... once they are ready. Should be soon though
In the meantime you should get the Blue Tinted Convex Ganador Mirror Glass from Garage Alpha they should help for time being.

Base moulds are ready. Need to test fit a FRP piece before I can start casting them in silver. Initially only bases will be available for sale so people with existing ganador mirrors are able to purchase them, after that FRP outer manual mirrors and cast silver bases will be sold as sets. 2 piece but non foldable.

 

Any updates? I'd be looking for a full set when you're ready to get into production.

Update:

The LHD bases are done, production starts as early as next week

With the LHD bases all the viewing problems are fixed. These bases will not be useable on rhd cars or else you'll face the same issue as what lhd rx7 currently do. m

Initially only the LHD bases would be for sale, these will be a direct swap to your existing authentic ganador outers, no modification needed. I'll have a video out soon how to swap the bases should take 15-20minutes to do both sides.

The bases would be made in cast silver like the authentic ones, they'll come prepped for paint. You'll be required to wet sand and paint.

Pricing? A pair of the LHD bases would cost around $425-$475 + $55 Shipping via DHL. This price includes the Paypal fee, conversion rates etc.

I'll have 5 sample for sale at the cost of $275 + $55 Shipping.
-For these please get yourself on a list in this thread, these will be sold as test/review samples so I would need them to be installed on your rx7s asap. If you aren't happy with the bases they can be returned to me and I'll give you a refund.

As for the complete mirrors, I'm working on them still. They are still few months away.
