I taught sakebomb offered a push in level sensor on their site. I purchased it with the bracket. It is from AEM I guess. Comes with a rubber grommet it says.

I was able to grab 3 sensors grommets and pigtails this weekend. They came off 02 and 03 Jettas and Passats. They all checked out when I tested them in water.

I checked the AEM site multiple times and could never find anything listed as ‘push-in’.

Just had a phone call with the guy who is building my car. He echoed what has been said above and didn't want to attempt fitting the sensor that comes with the AEM kit due to how think the plastic is on the SakeBomb tank. Guess we need to go hunting for another sensor.

Still waiting on those SakeBomb details being published.

looking at the AEM tank it looks like they plastic welded a fitting for the level sensor to provide more thread depth. not sure why SBG didnt have these bosses pre-made or attached at the factory. interested to see the instructions and hope they come out soon.

regardless i still dont have my tank

Got mine installed, really excellent quality and fit. Couple of notes from installation with an Aquamist setup:

- I did have to trim the rear plastic vent on the left side since this extends behind it.
- There's no good place for the float-type water level sensor, since it's too long and wouldn't fit in the sump part of the tank. You could put it on the side but I don't think it would be really be effective, so I just didn't install it, no biggie.
- Driving around my neighborhood without the rear finishing panel on and the tank like 75% full, you'll hear some sloshing noises. Hoping with it covered and making some insulation it'll reduce that.
- Had to order a 90 degree fitting for the pump source since it extends right into the spare tire.
- Used this pump from amazon for the rear window washer, it plugs into the oem connector, kinda loud but still works well.

Finally got my kit completely installed, just wanted to give a huge thanks to SBG and the guys involved in development of this thing, despite waiting around 6 months from when i paid, it was well worth the wait.

i went ahead and installed everything despite there not being any directions ready yet. i routed the water hose from the tank thru the spare tire well by drilling a small hole just big enough for the pump wire and water hose and using a rubber grommet, from there the hose and wire follow the fuel lines down to where the pump bracket is located. it worked really well and came out clean. after the pump the water hose follows the fuel lines up into the engine bay and into the nozzle on my intake elbow.

for the controller i also wanted a clean and hidden look so i mounted it on the airbag module(that i'm not using) under the dash on the drivers side using 3M VHB. this location is perfect because its completely out of the way yet accessible if i need to make changes or test the system, its also not a far path to the intake manifold for the MAP hose.

once again, thanks for a great product, will be hitting the dyno soon,

Ricebox, what fitting are you using on the bottom of the sump? Do you have an in-line filter anywhere?

You routed the supply exactly where I was looking. Through the spare well. Though I have my pump wiring going through with the fuel pump.

What level sensor are you using?

I got tired of waiting and temporarily installed the AEM tank until more ideas, do’s and don’ts are documented.

i’m using a 90 deg that was pre installed by SBG when i received the tank, as well as the level sensor. i believe they installed these for people who ordered the tank and bracket as a kit but im not 100% sure. if you havent received it yet im sure you will be shortly, just got mine last week.

i did buy the AEM in line filter but i havent installed it yet, i plan on putting it under the car near the pump, i need to get up on a lift and plan on making a seperate bracket for that. i couldnt find a location in the trunk i liked. should be fine temporarily with only the filter in the nozzle.

Thanks! I got my tank a month ago and didn't go with those options. Made my own pump bracket. I am debating carrying the spare at all, but would like to have the option for sure regardless of towing coverage.
