I'm from Australia and currently visiting friends in the Bay Area, I drove down to SBG yesterday and had a looooong talk to Heath and Christian about the kit, getting lotsa tips about it. I opened the box and was immediately pleased with the quality. The tank is thick and sturdy, At the least it is OEM quality and IMO I dare say better. You can tell the design's form, fit and function was carefully thought of. Here's some pictures for you all:

I just checked this out... ground shipping to Virginia costs twice as much as each purchase?!?! Is this another instance of their shipping quotes being jacked up? $45 for shipping on a $18 purchase seems a little lopsided..

be sure you rinse out the tank good I noticed a bunch of shavings from thfrmanufacturing process still inside the tank. Especially once you tap it for sensors! filter looks like a good idea

But seriously, Matt or SakeBomb, are you going to outline a few ways to go about tapping this bad boy? I figure I only have one shot at it and would like to see some pros/cons to using one location vs another.
Maybe some suggestions on part numbers or ways to tap the supply line? Where to locate the level sensor?
Mine has arrived in Ireland. Can't wait to get home!

There's should be a list of recommended tools / bits for properly tapping the tank for sensors/nozzles.
That said, I believe the guide will be built around the AEM kits, so depending on what you're running - you might need to contact the manufacturer (or a set of calipers) for proper sizing of nozzles / sensors.

Ok. Jumped in and tapped mine, I have the 1 gallon AEM kit. Dismantled the AEM push lock elbow and found a tap of the correct size. Don’t know the exact size of the tap as there is no writing on it. It’s screws in perfectly into the AEM tank so I went for it.
Drilled dead centre of the pilot hole(which was not perfectly central on the thicker boss/lowest part of the tank).
I was disappointed to see that the casting of the seemingly thicker boss was not thicker at all, very uneven, one side of the hole was deep enough the other just three threads deep.
PTFE tape on and installed. Tested with water and it leaked. 😢
Out came the epoxy and fingers crossed it holds.
The glue is drying as I type and will report back.
I cannot think of a way to install the level sensor that comes with the AEM kit(even if you found a plastic nut to fit the back of it, you would never be able to get said nut in the tank) so am going to leave it off for now, which is a shame as I have it currently set to cut the wastegate duty cycle when low.
If the epoxy holds up which it should🤞I may just do the same with the level sensor.

I did some googling on conductive sensor trying to see if there were alternatives to the AEM sensor for the same concerns you had. I found some info that pointed to late 90s VW washer bottle sensors. They look very similar, maybe smaller and no threads. They press into a rubber ‘bushing’ that you insert into a hole in the tank. Both pieces are $5-7 each. I was going to hit a pick and pull to check the size etc before buying anything. I figure I can put the level sensor in later on.

I know you are eager after waiting all this time... and I know I've been saying SakeBomb will have instructions soon - but please wait.
I mean, it's your tank. You can do what you want - and everyone is going to have a different experience with different kits (this isn't exactly rocket science)... but for the AEM kits, I believe the feed nozzle SBG will recommend is actually NPT - not a tapped / screwed fitting. Although with the amount of epoxy you used - it will probably be fine.

Bingo. There is a nearly identical sensor from a VW/Audi with a rubber grommet and push in (rather than screw in) connection. Again, SakeBomb will have details on this shortly.

I bought a house and moved during this whole group buy and updated them with my new address. They acknowledged it and updated my account. But it says it was delivered but to what I suspect was my old address. Trying to get resolution.

I bought out someones GB spot and then modified the order. I have an order number and confirmation of the order/address changes but cannot see the order status. I'm under the impression my kit will be one of the last to ship because it includes a bracket and a customs meth component configuration.
Plastic is more forgiving than metal, so you'll want a smaller tap. If it's leaking you could try teflon tape, but looks like the epoxy should work. I tapped my windsheild washer tank which didn't have any thickness for tapping. Ended up epoxying the **** out of it. It worked

Not a single drop in the 2 days I've let it sit full up. My
Installed and working. Used to have the old AEM tank where the spare wheel was which meant no wheel or carpet, its nice to have a complete car again.
Will wait for Sakebomb to find a smaller replacement level sensor part no and will more than likely epoxy that in too.
Trying to get resolution.
Received mine in the UK 2 days ago and will install next week. Official guidance would be useful....
