congrats on bringing the concept to reality. an essential add to a 20+ year gem of a car. as people convert it would be fun to see a thread full of jury rigged tanks

The plan is HDPE and the goal is stock construction & wall thickness.

The tank should work with the OEM cap. I have bought the entire US supply of caps. Which weren't many. I will most likely have caps made that are clones of the OEM cap. Caps will be included (either OEM or the reproductions) or people can "opt out" if they already have an OEM cap.

Thanks Howard. As I said in our PMs, it means a lot to have your input and blessing on this.

Thanks to everyone for the early support. Even though these models were made from 3D scans of the OEM piece, we're working on some rapid prototypes for final test fitment. We don't want to tool up and find some unforeseen fitment issue that could have been addressed.

Updates won't be frequent since we're so far along (6 months of daily e-mails, revisions & test fitting already) but feel free to ask questions, spread the word and show your support.

Very cool idea. Is there any way to help control fluid slosh within the tank? With the long design like that it looks like during hard left hand turns it'd potentially pull the fluid away from the lowest point on the tank (bottom drivers side) where you'd want to have your pump pickup.

Also would it be compatible with methanol mixes?

We wanted to do internal baffles - but our manufacturing process wouldn't allow for it. However, the "sumped" design and the low placement of the primary nozzle should help with slosh a lot. Don't particularly need one, but if the price is about what you allude to up top it's cheap enough to buy now so that I don't regret missing out in the future. I'm sure someone else will (miss out) and i can always sell it if it turns out I never need it. Put me down for 1.
