Please checkout on the following page, and mark yourself as "paid" in the GB list. Once we reach 20 people we'll begin the production run, if we do not reach critical mass on this one we'll refund everyone's payments)

19. street-heat7 - '94 + Finish = PAID

Quick question, the first post in this thread states the price would be $215 + shipping, but checking out on the web site, the price was $265 + shipping. Does this mean once the GB is ready, the difference would be refunded, or did I do something wrong?

We've tried this in the past but in recent years the FD community has changed quite a bit. There is a significantly higher percentage (orders of magnitude) of "tire kickers" than in the past. We've gotten burned before going off of "interest" numbers and falling completely short of the required numbers of people that actually buy a set. Normally in this situation we'd offer a 1/2 deposit (as on headlights) but since this isn't a thousand dollar item it made the most sense to just have everyone pay in full to simplify things.

Also, for us at least (and many in the automotive parts industry) sales actually tank pretty hard during Christmas when people are tightening their belts during the holidays. We're only going to make these if we're guaranteed not to lose our shirts on the production run. This isn't a normal business model because we're selling items in 10's not hundreds or thousands

Hey Ryan,
We were expecting a 50+ turnout that never materialized. Sorry, I take responsibility for not explaining that to everyone... without having enough people onboard we were faced with two options, raise the price point or don't make the handles again. The thread was sitting for a long time and I was getting "reminder" emails daily asking when these could be bought. The only way to make it happen was to raise the price and lower the number in the production run. Sorry I did not explain that in the post. Even with the increased price and smaller run we're still not sure if this is going to materialize, but hopefully it will.

-Heath

We're currently at *6* members signed up.

The pricing is $265 for this limited production run. If it does not materialize we'll refund everyone's funds.

Dang...I was hoping that I was the 19th paid up. I was planning on putting my interior back together as the first stage of my project. Oh well...money is in, and hopefully this will happen.

I just wanted to update everyone, the production run has started!

We should have handles for everyone who has paid in a couple weeks.

If this is still open, I'd like to get in on it. The Web page looks like it's still up but I see production is started. Is it to late to get in on this?
