Us to... but it was the only way we could do it with such low volume. Casting is not the way to go for anything in small numbers. We're not eeking out much of a profit on the handles with such a small run, and it actually looks like we'll be pretty far in the negative at this point.

We make little, you guys get charged more... any real business wouldn't bother with this "product" if you can call it that At the end of the day no one is happy, including the foundry. So hopefully the $30 increase is a little more tolerable in perspective, but I wasn't happy to raise the price either. At least you'll all end up with shiny new unbreakable handles that will most likely last longer than the car

I'd love to see some pictures of your FD next to a glacier! Iceland has been at the top of my list of places to visit for some time. It's nice to know there are some FD's even in Iceland Your order just shipped this afternoon.

Just received mine. Looks great. Thanks for doing these. Now that i have mine, I'm kind of hoping it stays a rare part lol.

Just out of curuosity, how do you guys emulate the 94 finish? Reason I ask is, I have several pieces that really need touched up, but I'm hesitant about doing it for fear of not matching the texture.

Well mine is installed...2 gotchas...1st I think they expect u to peel the padding off the handle cover...I didn't and I had to creatively build up the gap that is not cast into the SBG handle. 2nd make sure u plug in the window switch b4 u install the door panel!!!

They are directly cast from 94 handles... texture and all... using a highly accurate ceramic shell type mold. The molten aluminum is first passed through a carbon filter to eliminate any air bubbles and contaminents. It's technically quite an impressive casting process that is dimensionally accurate enough to retain even the surface texture of the 94 handles. Overkill? Probably yes, but it's a 100% exact copy of the plastic original from Mazda!

PS We have a few leftovers from the production run, however they are moving very fast. If anyone out there still needs one I would highly recommend purchasing one shortly as this most likely will have been the last run of them.

So u can see mine was already broken but this also shows the factory groove that the SBG handle does not have...I wanted the factory padding so I used extra sticky double sided exterior trim tape to build this area up then to smooth out the cut seem I used black fingernail polish...sounds weird but worked to perfection!

Thanks for the explanation Heath. Great product! Look forward to doing business with you in the future.

Only criticism I have is, I would have liked a SBG sticker with my purchase :P
