FD3S Aluminum Passenger Interior Door Pull Pre-Production Interest!

SakeBomb Garage Aluminum interior door handles!

As most of us know the OEM plastic interior door handle was poorly designed by Mazda and is prone to breaking, for a number of different reasons. Mazda also charges a very high price for another plastic replacement with the same flaws. SakeBomb Garage has finally created a permanent solution to Mazda’s design flaw.

Our identical replica is aluminum, and will last the life of your FD! No longer do you have to frighten unsuspecting girlfriends or passengers by screaming “DON’T PULL THAT HANDLE!”. It may take some getting used to, but that feeling in the pit of your stomach when a passenger closes the door will subside. As with all of our products, new mounting hardware is included. We were able to replicate both the 93 and 94 interior finishes, as well as color for a completely OEM appearance.

This is an IDENTICAL reproduction in aluminum which will solve the problem Mazda ignored once and for all. The stock cover is easily re-applied from your old plastic handle for a 100% identical OEM stock look (or they can be covered in any type of leather, vinyl, carbon fiber, etc... the sky is the limit). Personally we prefer reusing the stock cover for a completely OEM look. We're considering offering pre-upholstered handles for an additional charge. When you add your name to the list please specify if you'd like an upholstered handle.

At this point we are simply gathering interest for another production run of our handles. If you're interested please add your name to the list. We're hoping to start production in the next month if we can gather enough interest.

Price: $215.00 plus shipping
**Please note what finish you would like when adding your name to the list (93 or 94)

Thanks,
Dan and Heath!

Just an update. In order to make another production run we'll need a minimum of 25 people interested/pre-paid. We don't like making people wait for their part but unfortunately with this product it's the only way we can afford to make it. We've had a few people email us asking to be added to the interest list so I'll add them here.

If you add your name please remove the quotes so it's just the list being posted...and any questions you may have

List:
0. Scrubby, 93 finish, uncovered
1. Monkman33, 94 finish. Uncovered
2. Matthew M.
3. Travis L.
4. Ev|L-EX
5. Dana H.

Thanks,

Since it would require a custom mold we'd need roughly 50-75 people interested. We'd be more than happy to make a RHD version but molds are not cheap. We're looking into using a lost wax mold for a RHD version which could potentially be cheaper

Ya never know. We can post an interest thread over on the ausrotary forum, but I'm not sure what the vendor rules are.

Here's a rewrapped handle. When installed it looks 100 percent OEM.

Up!

Getting closer guys. If we can reach about 20 payments we can make this thing happen again! Otherwise it'll be difficult to say when another batch will be made.

Thanks,
Dan

Not currently. We're gathering an interest list for RHD people as well. If we can get roughly 50 RHD owners to commit to purchase we can offer a RHD handle. I've been meaning to join the over seas (aussy) forums to help gain interest.
