I am also watching this with great interest. I honestly like the OEM/Matte plastic look of the mold.

I've reached out. I don't think it's gonna happen - but I'd love to be wrong!

Last I heard from bubble tech he wasn't interested in remaking them.
They are hard to find and really expensive. Knightsports made them for the FD and FC. Imagine this paired with the Feed UIM cover in carbon fiber. It would look good.

I had a talk with my guy and we could make it, if there is enough interest that is.

To start the work on this I would need to buy a front clip. I have one in sight at the moment for $400.

Estimated price for it in FRP would be around $300-$350.
If anyone is willing to contribute in the expense for the front clip and making of the mold that would help, the amount contributed initially to start this will be adjusted if you're placing an order for it.
Can have the mold ready in about 1 1/2 month, each order would take a minimum of 2-3 weeks before they are ready to be shipped. All my FRP parts come primed and ready for paint.

Shipping might cost high since I live half way across the world from most of the members on here.
Group buy shipping to the same address will save you some money.
Only have two options to ship from here:
DHL and PostEMS.

If this gets going we need a group buy page away from this thread.

Well CF is not easy to work with nor is it cheap. If I do start making them in CF minimum it would cost is $800+ that is without shipping.
The engine bay cover is not a flat piece. It has many high and low points with curves and pretty sure the weave will be distorted in some places, obviously we try our best to lay the fabric as straight as possible without distorting the weave pattern.

Clear gel coat is great to speed up production and cut labor cost, but it is typically considered fragile, which is why you may see some "spider web" cracking in some lower quality parts. In addition, Although most clear gel coats have UV protection, they are not as strong as a true clear coat, hence why it will yellow.
Also what Bubble Tech said in the post I have quoted above is true, If I'm going to be making them, CF will be the top layer on a Fiberglass engine bay cover.
