Do these (V1 or V2) result in much more knee room between steering wheel and door? Might be a nice selling point for us tall guys.

I can only imagine yes. I'd imagine 1-2 inches minimum and possibly up to 3" depending on what part of the door. IE Drivers side door plastic trip is about 2-3 inches wide, so if you think about subtracting that alone you instantly gain that much space! Our door panels sit as flush to the door as possible. To test the space you gain you can simple take off your door panel and get a feel for how much room there is for activities
