35mm in length, radius curved on both ends.

~9.5 mm in diameter
~6.7 mm inner diameter from edge and thickens up to ~6.3mm in the center, so the thickness ranges from wider to narrow (edge to center) Seems the click on the headliner clips only near the center of the "dowl"

Seems 6.5mm overall should still work, the part the dowl attaches for is ~ 6mm in diameter. Hopefully you can implement "locking tabs" into the design allowing faster and better install after we put a drop of glue on it as well.

Thank you for doing that! I have some ideas that should make it easy to clip together. We'll most likely just 3D print these parts since they're so small and out of sight.

I'll mock something up tomorrow. PM me your address if you'd like to test out the first set - no cost on your end.

Final mockup done! Full production part to be released in the next couple of days. It mounts with the stock hardware and sits exactly like the cruise button does. Next up: OEM finish.

Who wants one?

I'll take one!

I'll also take a couple sets of mirror thingies (I believe that's what they're called in the factory service manual).

Back after the long weekend. Here's the final product! The face is as close to OEM finish as we could get, I'd say the match is pretty good. The back will have that weird look to it from the mold, but we figured it's incidental. The part mounts using the stock hardware. I'll add them to our online store in the next day or two once I can get a small inventory of them on hand, at that point they'll be up for sale.

We have a few on deck currently. Printed out a jig for test fitting purposes - from fresh out of the mold to a complete product in the photo.

Hey, would the passenger pull handle be something that the community would be interested in?

Wondering if a stronger plastic might be able to be used for a stronger product or at the very least a cheap replacement item?

What about center console? Surely no one really looks at the exhaust temp and security buttons?

Edit. Hopefully you will be making these parts in 94 plastics as well.

There's actually a cool little coin holder the Japanese models got that replace these.

However, plugs would be cool too - or even the coin holders themselves.

I never seen that before. Just when I thought i've seen it all on a FD

Personally I would have those two buttons removed for a cleaner look. Just throwing out ideas

Hey all,

Sorry for the lack of communication recently, we had some computer issues that were a bear to fix.

The part is live in our shop!

The price includes shipping and you can expect things to ship out within 1-3 days of being ordered. As we fill orders we'll work on other parts, and we're open to suggestions on what the next project to complete should be. Currently, we have the visor dowels and door triangles on deck and progressing. We'd also love to hear feedback about the parts - what you like, what you would change. We want the community to be happy with what they receive, so if you aren't we'll do our best to make it better! Thanks for the continued interest, everyone. Stay tuned for more updates on what's to come.

Ps, the coin holder/center console piece is definitely a front-runner for the first big part.

I was fortunate enough to receive one of the finished pieces and I can say that it looks great! I haven't had a chance to put it in yet, but it mimics the factory mounting flanges and the look of the surface is very good. Thanks again.

I agree with both of the sun visor clip roller pieces and the coin holder pieces

I guess it hasn't been asked, but is there a way to UV protect these plastics?
