The thing about the RHD parts is: they're available!
Think about it, the LHD parts were only produced from 93-95, not a long run at all... however, the RHD stuff, which was largely unchanged was produced from 1992-2002. LOTS of pieces are available, so it probably doesn't make sense for the manufacturer to make RHD parts.

I hope everybody had a good holiday!
I've been getting questions about how durable the hoods that I'm working on would be, so I wanted to give everybody an idea:

Just to have an idea
Would you mind posting some idea of when you'd think you could have which parts available? The cluster cover, the USB passthrough, the lighter plugs ... just to give an idea of when we can plan to start parting with some money ...
If not, that's ok. Figured I'd ask though.

I think you are going to meet a need in the market for sure. I would be down for the USB pass thru and the Ejector Cig Lighter cover myself.
For those of us that hook up laptops to our ECU in the passenger kick panel. It would be nice to figure out a solution so I don't have to pull my door scuff plate and kick panel every time I want to get to the ECU to Datalog and tune etc.
Maybe there is something already that solves this but I just don't know about it? May work for the LS swap guys also.

I believe the pass-thru's are readily available:
RX7 ? Niche Motoring
Good call on using one for ECU hookup. It would work perfectly.

Fantastic....
Funny how years of dealing with the FD plastic interiors has conditioned me.
Even knowing your part was an aftermarket replica, I still cringed as you began to beat the cluster hood on the lift post. Great to see it's a tough piece.
OEM would have shattered...
Hell, my 94 gauge hood broke (split in half) when I simply pulled it out of the dash support.

Plus the covers are 75ish from my dealership but I don't pay wholesale cost for how frequent I buy from them and built a friendship/relationship. The covers are made oem. What's better from a non Mazda mold for plastics?
I'd like to see door panel improvements on the inside so it is not floppy.

This is simply amazing! I dont even have words for how ecstatic I am for seeing replacement parts come alive.
Im curious about the usb ports. I dont believe anyone has mentioned it, but why not integrating usb ports into a custom ash tray with a lid with a slit to allow the cables to pass through? Im not sure how many people dont use their ash trays as ash trays, but mine is just a holding compartment.
