Thats sick, but I thought that you have to pay to do that, or do people just jump over the fence and do it?

The 'ring is a public toll road. So you pay a toll and go. I'd just pay the toll for a lap, stop, spray, take a pic, then go on about my way.

Not like I won't be doing many laps anyway

I'll just do up a stencil with the name and logo that way it'll be easy to spray. And I'll go during a week day when there aren't a ton of people out.

Sweet. I can't wait for pics. Is it too late to change my order to the Track kit? I also forgot to mention my car doesn't have P/S or A/C. My car is getting a lot of lovin' for Christmas it seems.

So is the driver side IC piping going to be the same for all kits?

blk87turbo2,

pm'd on pricing

spinitsidewayz,

it is not too late because the kit is not done yet, there is no GB yet, and I have not taken any pre-order payments. I will provide modified piping to get by the ac/ps pumps, I can also provide piping in the kit for those of you who ditch ac or ps, visa versa or both.

No mock up pictures, sorry. I will only show the pics when its done.
I do have personal reasons for this that I really do not want to get into.

But I have listed the latest design a few post earlier.

Again, I'm very very sorry. But there will be pics soon.

P.S. Hood dampers will be released next week in a GB.
The FC battery kit will be released after that.

The FC battery kit will be needed or you will have to relocate you battery.

Thanks

I have been talking to Funkspectrum and I will show him some photos and I asked him to give his honest opinion.

I will have some photos for him to report on either tomorrow or the next day. But I do not want to post un finished work on the forum.

Thanks, Ben

I'll be picking up the low power and med power i/c cores on friday and I will take pics then for Funkspectrum.

The cores sit at a very slight angle with them dipping to the front of the car, maybe less then 5 degrees. But the ducting provided and the airflow is fresh to everything. This angle is due to the clearence needed for the relocation of the a/c. For those not using a/c, you can probably/easily fab somthing using my idea to adjust the angle however you want it.

But it will take away airflow from the top portion of the rad.

It is extremely functional the way it is. Also space it limited because this is after all a bolt on kit which allows you to retain everything on your car while having everything getting fresh air.

You might have said something about this earlier in the thread but just wonder how much is the hood damper kit going for?

I did somewhere.

They will be normally 155 plus 15 shipping lower 48 states like the FD kit.

GB will open up at

145 plus shipping 5 to 15 people.

135 plus shipping 15 plus people.

The CF and aluminum hoods use 60lb shocks.
The turbo steal hood will get 80lb shocks.

Everything will be listed on the GB page and I will link it here so my vmount page does not get cluttered with hood damper stuff.

^^ Hey look! It's my FC!

Anyway...I took a looksie at the v-mount progress and I must say it's looking really nice! Bens placement of the rad/ac/ic seems to be spot on. It looks like it's gonna be a little bit of a tight fit with all the AC garbage in there. But even then, it's a small price to pay to retain a functional AC with a performance V-Mount.

Keep up the goodness, Ben! I'm looking forward to the finished product!

Thanks!!!

How about that placement of the oil cooler in relation to all this mess..lol

Everything is getting fresh air!!!

I am able to get the low power vmount to work with the stock inlet and outlets the go to the stock i/c.

Greddy elbow will not be needed for the base vmount.

So here is a pic of the 3 cores to choose from.

Top = Stock

2nd one down is the small vmount for stock turbo and bolt-ons, will support 300 whp easy.

3rd one down is the track vmount for upgraded turbo and so-on, will support 475 whp for that perfect power range for track.

4th one down is the big/drag vmount for upgraded turbo and so-on, will support 575 whp for that perfect power range for drag strip. A bigger one can be fitted but garret takes 6 to 8 weeks to get the core I wanted, so I went with the next power rating in relation to its diminsion that fit.

Enjoy the photo and I am sending Funkspectrum more photos to see how the IC looks on the vmount.

No, sorry but that is a 250 option.

You will have to relocate your battery or get a mini battery kit.

Actually, they will be done in December. The bottom part with the oil cooler/ rad/ e-fan/ ducting is done. I'm working on the Intercoolers now.

I am trying to test fit a 800+ capable core and it requires some re-alignmet of things.

For the 800 core you may have to just bend the trailing edge or the rad support down. Very minor, but you'll get a core that jumps from 575 to 800+ support and will still retain a/c and such.

I'm looking for another core for the base kit that will support a little more power will still allowing the use of the stock airbox.

The 575 core will be for guys pushing 450 after the car is warmed up and the IC is already heat soaked.

The 800+ core will be for all you drag racing and 600whp freaks out there.

I want to make the best kit out there so I have to be sure to accomodate everyone.

Ben
