GB OPEN for Rotary Extreme FC Vmount Kits
#129
im going to be shipping all the battery kits for free by middle next month, like 5 of them
about 30 to 40 to ship them because they are heavy.
the fabricator assured me all the intercoolers will be done by the time I get back from russia in the end of april.
I had to redesign the end tanks again because the cast end tanks sit at an angle towards the end and that is why you see I had to notch the tank where the pipe goes into it. also the angle makes the supporting brackets not to my liking for attachment to the frame.
total cost of modification - about 600
cost of change to the ic for the kit to date 950, 350 more for the bigger cores 600 more for custom tanks
free shipping hood dampers 150-- sales tax incl
free shipping batteries about 175--sales tax incl
free shipping the kits with materials for packaging, probably about 100 a kit
another 800+
It all adds up.....
But please please please understand that I honor my deal, I absorb the cost and I can't stress my gradituity on your patiance in all this.
I didnt realize the loss for me in the package deals, those of you who got those saved some serious cash!!
So, please bear with me, these will be shipping very soon after I get back from Russia.
Thank you all.
I hope honesty and keeping in touch with you guys helps.

I'm honestly not in much of a hurry to get my car going. I'm looking for a house right now, teh 7 is sitting in a storage shed with the motor out + gutted. I don't want to have to transport the motor half built, so I'm not going to try till I get a proper garage.
I also have a turbo swap to do in my audi. Which is my daily driver. So a lot on my plate as well. Also no time to do it. (I think you know how I feel lol.)
I really appreciate all the updates. It's good to know where things are in the build process. I'm excited to get it when it does arrive!

No,
Test fitment is done to verify all brackets line up. After all bracket fitment and holes are finalized then they get powdercoated. I can drill holes on a finished coating.
But while I wait for that, Thats when I will polish everything.
Don't worry. Your kit is the 1st kit to ship.
Im sorry for taking so long, it has been a big project, bigger then I had expected and with garrett discontinuing that core didnt help. Also I have money comming outta pocket for the GB.
Im sorry, I really am but Im working as fast as I can but I am reliant upon other things that are taking time.
Im sorry.

Since my motor blew in December I might just have to put everything together before this arrives... might give me a chance to slowly learn to tune I suppose. Your honesty is definitely appreciated, wayyyyyy better than waiting for 6 months and only ever hearing "No, they're not done yet" or not hearing anything at all.

I'd say at this time I need to be getting the kits out to be considered good work.
Everyday I wake up and wish I could make time go faster, I hate waiting on things too that hold me back from getting things out to my customers.
Thank you everyone for your understanding.

LOL,
Im going to be stuck on a military base. I have to schedule rides into town for sight seeing.... 1.5 hours each way.
The cool thing is I fly there with the satellite on an Antonov AN124. We stop in finland then in Iceland then off to Bikanor. I think like 30+ hours.

Im still in Baikonur Russia. I'll be back Friday on the 7th.
I've got to get settled in with some things. Catch up from being gone for 3 weeks.
I'll post pics of the final Intercooler set-up. It no longer will have cast tanks, they will be custom like my FD vmounts. The cast tanks are really soft aluminum and have a slight angle which makes it a little harder to make brakets to bolt to the frame. They also pose a problem for the piping. There is alot of time involved when using the cast tanks. The new IC will be much cleaner looking and have better fitment.
The brackets are going out for powder coating by the end of MAY.
I will also work on getting out the battery kits as soon as I get back too.

I've been hoping I could install this before mid summer so I could start tuning and enjoying the car a little before winter hits again. If not I'll have to throw on the old stock setup, then any tuning I do will have to be adjusted once the vmount goes in.

Ahh yes,
He said he has finished the radiators, he is waiting for me to approve the final revision he has so that he can finish the other IC's. It would be bad to build them all wrong.
Building one kit at a time is easy, doing a GB sucks. Believe me, I don't benifit from GB's, but it is a good way to get your product out there.
I am going to be slaving over these FC vmounts when I get back.
By the way everyone, the king of pop lives on in Baikonur Kazakhstan.
