Next time you pop your hood, look at how high you stock airbox ducting is in the front that sits on top of the radiator shroud, and the radiator shroud, then look at the vmount again. Also the stock hood was used and everything has been test fitted several times.... several several several times...lol

Well....

I just list it all like this so everyone is aware of the situation on hand.

GB closed officially on 11-11-11.

I did not get the final payment untill Monday the 14th.

I could order a single thing untill all money was paid because I need it to order the correct amount of parts. My supplier did not stock 9 cores so those all have to be ordered which will take about 2 weeks. I ordered 11 greddy elbows which of 2 were only in stock, the rest are comming from Japan, (take a guess how long that will take, your guess is as good as mine.) I ordered all the hoses. I am still calculating the exact piping needed to make these kits. Both fabricators are on vacation around thanks giving for about a week. The relocated oil cooler lines are on back order from who I get them from because they dont have enough pieces. Then there is the fans, temp controller, endtanks..... The radiators, yes well they did not have 9 of those in stock either.

I can make the brackets while I wait, but I can not send them out to be powder coated untill each kit is test fitted with its dedicated bracket set. Once everything fits and is lined up and I dont have to remake any brackets, then they go out for powder coating.

So the time line starts really from 11-14-11. But I could not order the next day, I had to look at what I needed.

If you see what has been ordered in this GB its really alot. These are not simple vmount kits. There is alot of detail that is involved and that takes time. Luckly lkike I said before all I have to do is copy my design.....9 times..lol

Then I also have to sand down the endtanks and polish alot of things.

I also have to do the install to make the online instructions. I have to install it first before I ship any to make sure that everyones kits will be perfect. I can start shipping and the online insturctions will only take me a day.

So in reality, I don't want to lie. Because of wait time, assembly time, finalizing things...the kits will not arrive before the year is over. I am expected mid Janurary.

The holidays will slow down shipping parts to me. Then I expect the holidays for christmas and new years to slowdown the powder coating of the brackets.

But the on the good side you will receive what I feel is the best kit on the market with zero install issues, it will bling and perform as designed to.

So I know some people might be upset, Im sorry. But those are the reasons it will take time.

The hood dampers and the battery kits will be shipped with the vmount kits for those of you who bought them.

Believe me, I'm on it, but I dont have the capital to screw up. I gave alot of discount to get the kit out there on a GB. The only money I made is the money saved on shipping parts in bulk. Discounting the hood dampers and battery kits was to just get the product out the door and into the market.

I would say just enjoy the holidays, dont stress, I didnt burn through 20k+ on hookers and drugs...lol

Your kits are being worked on.

eage8, dont worry about being that guy. you asked a great question that everyone would like to know the answer to.

I hope I cleared things with my answer.

I don't know why I can't edit or delete the above post... someone can delete it. (I fat fingered the first word and it posted for some reason...)

Will you be working on the kits individually as you get parts in? or waiting for all the parts and building all the kits together?

I had to wait to receive all payments before I could do anything, thats why its called a Group Buy.

I am waiting for parts ordered. I am making brackets and working as fast as I can as parts arrive. But the holidays slows it down for everyone. Its not going to take forever. But its not gonna be super fast either. I have 9 kits I need to build and I need to make sure they all fit and complete parts list before I release a single one.

I will update the tread with pics as parts come in, and as stuff is made.

OK new new new new new update.

Because I took so long to make this kit the core I ordered via email came back with a wonderful response.

Its been discontinued.

The Garrett core 18x10.5x3.5 rated at 575hp under normal operating conditions has been DISCONTINUED !!!!! wtf !!!!!

The closet core size is 18x10.3x3 rated at 510hp under normal operating conditions .

Let me ask a questions, if I were to sell this kit with this less rated core, would you guys be:

A. Pissed
B. Thinking, now wtf?
C. I want a discount.
D. All of the above.

I'll answer it for you. The answer is D, all of the above.

Sooo this is what I did.

I am adapting my FD track core to work for this kit.

It is 20x11x3 and rated at 600hp under normal operating conditions.

**** yeah, your thinking 25 more hp, well let me explain why this is really a plus, and why I did not go with this core in the first place.

This is a plus because it has more surface area and it is a tad thinner by 1/2. This means that air can travel through the core easier and more air can cool the core, so its a benifit in 3 ways.

When I first designed this kit I did not have the monster vmount set-up yet, It was during the monster vmount that caused me to move the radiator back a little to make room for the monster core. It was that adjustment that now allows me to use this larger track core.

Sooooooo.....

What I ask is while this kit now benifits from a better core, please understand that I am going to need to make modifcations the the end tanks and the pipe on them.

Its really easy but its just something that will take a little time.

But it was a blessing in disguise.

Yeah, it was a set-back you guys when I found out that core was discontinued. But its a win win situation with the new core. I had to re-do the angle of the piping on the cores just a bit to make sure it would work with the piping I already had. Its a nice core thats is already in use by many FD owners so I know for a fact what this core can do. Im really happy it turned out like this. But waiting on other parts sucks.

Is this the same shape/size/outlet location as the stock one?

I hope it will not affect the routing.

Can you post a pic of this next to the stock one?

Also I am shipping everyones hood dampers for free on Monday.
