Banzaitoyota, good and bad

well, I hated to come here with this since i know banzai has a good reputation.

first off the good. purchased a set of S5 n/a blockoff plates from him on ebay, extremely fast shipment, arrived in 2 days after auction. great product with install hardware and all.

the bad:
I paid for a set of TII halfshafts from him on May 9th, before I made the purchase I asked if he could ship them so they would arrive no later than the 25th, he said not a problem that he would ship them that following monday because he had to take them off the car over the weeked, I didn't have a problem with that and I paid for them.

it's now the 25th, I've sent 2 pm's asking if they were shipped, neither have been replied to, tonight he was on AIM, I sent him a message, about 5 minutes later he replied with "yes?" I then asked about the halfshafts and he never responded again, its been probably 4 or so hours since I asked.

at this point I feel like I'm being avoided, he's signed on since my pm's and I know he's seen my AIM messages.

like I said, I didn't want to come here with it. by now I feel I've been more than patient about the whole ordeal, before I ordered I specifically asked if they'd be here by the 25th because there was a track event I needed to drive at on the 26th/27th.

I'll post again once this has been resolved with the outcome.

Actually since the forum no longer pops up PM notify boxes, and many users are still saying they are not getting email notifications either, it's entirely possible he hasnt seen your PMs. I know that I sent him one about a week ago and havent heard back, and it's something he probably would have responded quickly to had he seen it, so I am assuming he hasn't.

He is a fair guy and I am sure he will work something out with you.

yea, i know he is, i've purchased stuff from him previously as well, and know several others who have and everything went well.

is it an option to turn off PM's popping up? mine still pop a box when i login.

I wouldn't have posted this if it was just from PM's, it was in AOL instant messenger as well, he was obviously there because he responded waiting for my question, I replied only seconds later, unless something came up in a matter of seconds (which i know is possible) he would've seen it.

No, it seems to be a defect with the forum software re: the PM system and notifications. Check the "suggestions" section for more info.

My email notifications come through, but I do not get the pop up box on the forum pages themselves. Also sometimes I click a pm, reply to it, and delete it, but the forum software does not update for a while, and it still shows the PM. Then I try to click on it again to re-delete it, but the system says there is no PM there. So the whole system is a bit "iffy" at this point. Has been since the upgrade, but different users seem to have different levels of issue.

I just replied to your PM.
I have once again overextended myself on my time commitments. I offered 2 solutions in my PM to you, just let me know which one you want to do

Thanks for your reply, as I stated in my first post I REALLY did not want to come here with it because of your reputation and my previous purchases from you, but I'm sure you can understand why I felt like I was being avoided. For one I saw you had logged in after I had sent PM's, I was unaware that the PM system was working weirdly for some users, but the PM's weren't why I posted, I could've waited some more if it was just PM's, it was the no response in AIM after asking about the part.

I want everyone to know that banzai is an excellent seller, he has always been a very reputable person, and as stated, I've purchased from him before with great results, his parts are always very good and his ebay auction items are of the utmost quality and was extremely fast in getting those shipped. If anyone were to ask I would still recommend him as a first person to go to for parts.
