Windscreen wipers moving very slowly

Hello i have had an fd3s for a while now but never had an issue with the windscreen wipers moving slowly. I have searched on her and the older models it seams to be the motors that at gone is this the same problem with these models too. I haven't used the car in a few years so do they just seize up after this ???
any help would be great thanks

Check this out: Likely that it's one or both of the wiper pivot shafts in the wiper linkage binding where they pass through the tube/bracket that holds them, it the symptom is slow moving wipers that eventually don't move at all. Remove the wiper rack assembly, disconnect the motor link, carefully spray WD-40 at both ends of the shaft and slowly work the shaft(s) back and forth with vise-grips while frequently adding more WD 40 in. I've seem almost completely frozen units become free turning again.
