white smoke cold start, goes away when warm?
hello,
1988 10thAE turbo 2, light street port from bonzai racing. This car i know has a leaky injector, which makes it a pukestain to start in the morning, but once started it's alright. It doesn't smell like coolant, nor is it bubbling. I do have to add oil to the crank every so often because it disappears quickly. Anyone have any ideas? Or need any more info?

apologies, i actually do not have an OMP on this car, it runs pure premix. I should have added that in the original post which is why the adding oil more than what you would originally think kind of worries me

Check to see if your oil is diluted with fuel.
I'd bet it is.
The fuel from the leaky injector will find it's way into the crankcase.
If this condition is persistent, you'll probably kill the oil seals on the rotor and end up with lots-O-oil consumption

nah that works well! i don't start mine at all during the winter so i have to be gentle and prep her for first start, make the seals are loose / wet and not bound up, fresh oil and build some case pressure, rad flush etc.

have fixed a few coolant drizzles / leaks and now just trying to figure out the end game for a radiator / fan setup. Do believe the coolant passage on the turbo is leaking as well, so there's that too. More worried about getting a reliable fan setup going so I can troubleshoot deeper into the cooling as right now I am just running stock rad and clutch fan. Haven't "drove" this car since mid-spring, only started/moved it around/ tore down to water pump housing and replaced gasket.

I am like 99% sure coolant seals are good to go though, no smoking. just leaking from the turbo flange hot side to downpipe and i can't see any major issues with fluid levels / white smoke beyond when it's warming up. so there's that good news!
