what kind of rotary has 17 tension bolts?
assembled a 12a engine tonight.. when writing the numbers on the tension bolts i found out something is off with this plate... theres one less..
i can't find any manual with this pattern and i'm not sure if the housings and other side housings have the bolt hole or not... couldn't think of it at all before assembly..
i tightened down the bolts in a cross pattern( not good) because the silicone was drying and i didnt want to do it again...
anyone knows?

they went from 18 to 17 bolts for 1980, it is one of the ways to spot a 79 engine vs 1980 engine, not sure when they changed back (or maybe the 13B kept 18?)

13B kept it. When I rebuilt my 4 -port 13B (built around FB 13B rotor and 12A side housings) with 6-port parts, I found that I was "missing" a tension bolt. Had to scrounge one up from somewhere.
Funny, I'd assumed that the 6 port engines were the ones missing a location.
